Director of Planned Giving

Position Summary: Develop and oversee all aspects of planned giving, coordinate major donor program and support all other resource development activities as assigned by the Director of Development.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:

  1. Coordinate major donor cultivation and stewardship events with fund
    development staff;
  2. Meet individually with donors and prospects and conduct donor tours;
  3. Coordinate major donor cultivation and meetings with agency’s Executive
    Director, and Director of Development;
  4. Participate in networking opportunities for expansion of major donor
    programs;
  5. Work with Director of Development, Executive Director and Board of
    Directors to set goals for increasing major gifts;
  6. Work, as assigned by Director of Development, on additional projects,
    including the development of an endowment campaign;
  7. Manage the Planned Giving Program, involve Executive Director and
    Director of Development as appropriate;
  8. Identify, research, cultivate and solicit planned giving prospects;
  9. Serve as resource for donors to address estate planning needs;
  10. In coordination with the Director of Development, develop and manage a
    Planned Giving Program and Planned Giving Marketing Program;
  11. Develop and implement program for educating donor base on
    benefits of Planned Gifts;
  12. Coordinate plan to market and implement the Planned Gifts
    program;
  13. Manage Planned Giving Committee ensuring a positive experience for
    committee members and the provision of technical expertise to agency
    and donors.

Position: Full Time, Exempt

Salary: Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
