Nurse Case Manager - Full Time and Per Diem

Position Summary: Responsible for the coordination of a core management team to accomplish the functions of initial and ongoing client assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of a service care plan and the coordination and monitoring of cost effective, quality services provided in accordance with the client’s needs as set forth in the service plan.  Case Management activities incorporate a collaborative, interdisciplinary team approach.

Requirements: Must have completed an accredited school of nursing program and obtained a registered nursing degree. Must be licensed by the State of California as a Registered Nurse and must have either two (2) years experience in community nursing or one year experience in community nursing and one year of clinical nursing experience. Must have a valid California Driver’s License and own transportation.  Must be able to communicate effectively, get and give information clearly and completely in English.  Spanish speaking ability desirable but not essential. Must have thorough knowledge and understanding of HIV/AIDS.  Must possess skills in verbal and written communication.  Must possess good interpersonal communication skills.

Position: Full Time and Per Diem positions available.

Mental Health Counselor (Bilingual Spanish)

Position Summary: Assists with the overall function of the Mental Health Department. Assists case managers in developing and implementing psychosocial care plans for clients. Compiles client statistical information relevant to the Mental Health department. Provides clinical services to clients who are infected and affected by HIV disease and interacts with other community care providers to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements:A minimum of a Master’s Degree of Psychology or related field is required, and the individual must be license eligible. To perform the job successfully, the candidate must be fully bilingual in Spanish and English. The ability to communicate effectively and provide counseling in both Spanish and English is a requirement. The candidate must also have a minimum of one year prior experience as a mental health counselor. The candidate must demonstrate good judgment and have knowledge of HIV/AIDS, substance abuse and cross-cultural issues. Must have strong organizational and communication skills.

Director of Development

Position Summary: The Director of Development and Marketing works closely with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors to achieve the agency’s mission by identifying opportunities for growth, reducing risk and strategic planning. The Director of Development provides leadership for and oversees the activities of the development and public affairs department. Position is responsible for hiring, staff supervision, developing and monitoring of departmental budgets and developing and achieving departmental goals and plans in conjunction with staff.

Requirements:Candidates must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years management experience in the areas of development and communications in a non-profit setting. A bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, public relations or other related field is required. Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to motivate others, budgeting experience, superior written and verbal communications skills and computer literacy are a must. Other required skills include creative problem solving, long and short term planning and the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people. Candidates must have at least five (5) years of experience working in a non-profit organization, and be sensitive to the needs of people impacted by HIV disease. Must have knowledge of word processing and fund development related database software. Bilingual capacity (English/Spanish) is a plus
