Orange County Ride for AIDS Premieres October 9
Cycling Event to Cover 100 miles through Orange County
As part of its 25th anniversary AIDS Services Foundation (ASF) is inaugurating the Orange County Ride for AIDS (OCRA), a fundraising event designed to raise money for ASF client services. The event is limited to 250 cyclists that commit to raising a minimum of $500 in donations for ASF to participate.
The ride includes Century (100 miles) and Metric Century (62 miles) courses through some of the most scenic parts of Orange County including Santiago Canyon, portions of Tustin, Corona del Mar, and Laguna Beach among other areas. OCRA is one of a series of activities ASF is producing over the next twelve months to mark its 25th year of service to people affected by HIV/AIDS in Orange County.
The ride begins and ends at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo
Saturday, October 9, 2010. Rider check-in begins at 5:30 a.m. Opening ceremony at 6:30 a.m. Ride route opens at 7:00 a.m. and closes at 5:00 p.m. Closing ceremony at 5:30 p.m.

Annually, ASF helps more 1,600 men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS in Orange County. Services include food, transportation, housing, case management, emergency financial assistance, children and family programs, Latino outreach programs, mental health counseling, support groups, HIV testing, and an extensive array of HIV prevention and education programs.
