The theme of World AIDS Day through 2015 is “Getting to Zero.” Zero new HIV Infections. Zero Discrimination. Zero AIDS Related Deaths.
ASF is participating in many World AIDS Day events leading up to, on the day of, and after World AIDS Day. Here’s a sampling of some of what our Health Education & Prevention and Outreach Departments are doing in the community.
Tuesday, 11/27, Deadline for submissions for ASF World AIDS Day poster contest. The contest was promoted in all Orange County middle and high schools.
Wednesday, 11/28, California State University Fullerton, Students Housing Complex, 10 AM to 3 PM. Student outreach event and HIV testing. See video below from CSUF Daily Titan.
Wednesday, 11/28, University of California, Irvine, Student Center, Pacific Ballroom A, 12 PM to 2 PM. ASF Case Manager Miguel Rodriguez and Nurse Case Manager Stefanie Kochen will participate in a panel discussion entitled Zeros & Heroes and focussing on ways for students to become heroes in the fight against HIV/AIDS

Saturday, 12/01. Laguna Beach WAD Community Outreach Event, Main Beach, Pacific Coast Highway, 11 AM to 3 PM, Candlelight Remembrance, 5:30 PM. Coordinated by the Laguna Beach HIV Advisory Committee.
Saturday, 12/01. ASF World AIDS Day event and poster competition prize presentation, Microsoft Store, South Coast Plaza, Costa Mesa, 1 PM to 3 PM.
